PrimX Composite Applications, concrete floor

Save Time and Money

The higher the structural demands on the, the more time and money PrīmXComposite saves in a variety of concrete floor applications.

Applications for PrīmXComposite concrete floors:

  • Distribution centers
  • Food processing
  • Heavy Load Industrial Manufacturing
  • Freezer Floors
  • Big-box retail
  • Anywhere floors impact productivity and safety
  • And other applications

PrīmXComposite Concrete Flooring System is not experimental.  There are over 400 completed projects and 60 million square feet in service today.  It has become the most dominate system in many regions, preferred by the world’s most discerning companies.

Slab on gradePrīmXComposite is a fully seamless, smooth, non-curling, crack-free concrete floor system made with zero shrinkage technology. PrīmXComposite makes it possible to cast indoor floors of unlimited size and geometry with no joints or saw cuts. Eliminating joints in concrete also means avoiding post-installation issues, such as damages slab curling and increased equipment maintenance.
  • Reduces maintenance costs of floors
  • Maximizes usage profile over traditional floors
  • Increases resale value of the building
Because of its large size and monolithic structure, PrīmXComposite Raft or Mat-Type Foundations under buildings are very stable. PrīmXComposite Raft is quick to install and provides a stable, stiff foundation that is water- and gas-tight. Raft floating foundations distribute the weight of the structure over the base of the entire building rather than at various support points. Floating foundations are shallow, making them ideal for rapid construction projects. We have made buildings of raft-type foundations easier and more efficient by using steel fiber-reinforced PrīmXComposite concrete instead of traditional steel rebar construction.
  • Faster, easier installation
  • Reduced labor costs
  • No reinforcement installation errors
  • Rugged, durable concrete
Slab on pilePrīmXComposite Slab-on-Piles concrete is fully structurally load bearing with free spans up to 20 feet or more between the piles. Often the best, most economical solution, Slab on piles is ideal where construction is required on weak subsoil in boggy areas, or on non-load bearing or damaged subsoil. Used in industrial buildings requiring floors of high load-bearing capacity, PrīmXComposite Slab-on-Piles is extremely durable.
  • Reduces floor maintenance costs
  • Provides an enhanced usage profile over traditional floors
  • Increases resale value of the building
Smooth PrīmXComposite Overlays have a thickness of 0.79 to 3.94 inches. Traditional, thin concrete overlays crack, debond, and curl at the edges. An economical solution, PrīmXComposite Overlays are ideal for use in warehouse, industrial, retail and other applications. PrīmXComposite reduces cracking and overcomes the issues present with traditional concrete.
  • Reduces maintenance costs of the floor
  • Has an enhanced usage profile vs. traditional floors
  • Increases resale value of the building
  • Has a better appearance over jointed, cracked and curled alternatives
Typical applications of overlays include finishing layers on prefabricated elements, parking ramp repairs and industrial floor damage repairs. It is also ideal for:
  • Storage facilities
  • Shopping centers and retail environments
  • On- and off-highway equipment and vehicle dealerships
  • Residential, multi-family buildings
  • Office spaces
  • Entertainment and convention centers
Requiring no saw cuts, PrīmXComposite has lower maintenance costs. PrīmXComposite's durability and high load-bearing capacity allows pavement to withstand high point loads. PrīmXComposite offers a higher resistance to freeze-thaw and abrasion against movements of heavy loads. PrīmXComposite Outdoor has been successfully used for heavy equipment abrasion, including roads for tanks by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and others. Typical applications of PrīmXComposite Outdoor, include roads, parking lots, sea port cargo fields, airport aprons and runways, external cargo storage areas, construction equipment roads and pavement.
  • Reduces maintenance costs
  • Provides a better usage profile over traditional pavements
  • Improves durability
